Updating docs is a chore, so nobody does. Now it's a message to Claude.
A hosted, versioned public docs site your team edits from their own Claude accounts.
Write for free. Publish from $0.75 a month.
A message to Claude becomes a whole docs site beside the chat: MyCo’s site with its mark, a sidebar of pages and an Overview of numbered step cards; above the chat, the line “One message. A whole site, drafted.”
A phone: one message in Claude builds MyCo’s docs site; its sidebar slides in and switches every page to Spanish; a teammate’s change is kept, then undone.
“Everyone says they will keep that random wiki page up to date. They never do.”
— softwaredoug · Hacker News · Sep 2025The best docs tool is the one you never open. Documarium works inside Claude, where your team already writes.
§ The problem
How a docs update actually happens on your team.
The draft happens in Claude: the release note, the corrected refund window. Publishing it means a second tool: sign in, find the page, paste, fix what the paste broke. So the draft lands in Slack, and it becomes your job.
That's the gap. Your team writes in one tool and publishes through another, and the longer it stays open, the further the docs drift.
“I'm the only person who writes documentation in my department… I got tired of being the only one, so I stopped doing that.”
— runjake · Hacker News · Sep 2025“If your marketing manager needs git access and to edit a markdown file on GitHub — the chance they will document in even ideal conditions goes way down.”
— globallyunique · Hacker News · Feb 2024§ The arithmetic
Three ways to pay for the gap. One way to close it.
| Route | What you pay | Who can fix a page | What keeps drifting |
|---|---|---|---|
| Documarium | Starter: $9 a year. Team: $19 a month, unlimited editors.Solo: $3.25 a month. | On Team and up, anyone on the team, from Claude.Starter and Solo: you. | Nothing publishes until you approve it. |
| Do nothing | Tickets, refunds and lost sign-ups. | Whoever has the login. | Every page, a little more each month. |
| Hosted platform | $125 a month for five people.GitBook Essential · $1,500 a year · +$144 a year per hire | Five seats, five logins. | The tool nobody opens. |
| DIY repo + static host | Your evenings, indefinitely. | Only whoever can run the build. | The framework, the markup, the build. |
Every route pays for the gap: in seats, in upgrades, or in your own evenings.
§ What you get
A whole docs platform, run from the chat you already have open.
You already do this work in Claude. Documarium makes it stick, versioned and published.
Start from what you already have.
A repo, docs online, your product's web page or a file: Claude drafts the whole site and hands you a preview link to keep or throw away, before you need an account.
Draft, approve and publish from the chat.
Ask Claude to draft the change, check the preview, say yes, publish. Any published change rolls back in one call.
One prompt makes your whole docs site multilingual.
Ask Claude for Spanish and it drafts every page in Spanish. You check them before they go live, and Documarium adds no AI meter.
The fifth editor costs what the first one did: nothing.
On Team, $19 a month for the site, unlimited people on it, each from their own Claude account. Anyone proposes. You approve. One click undoes.
§ Example sites
Four ways a site can look.
Every site picks one of these registers when it is created and can switch to another later, from Claude. Each one below is our own docs site, live, in that theme.
§ Proof
New product. Here's what's already true.
Try the whole loop before trusting it. Writing is free and never expires. Judge it on your own docs, not on our claims.
Your content is never trapped. Every document exports as clean markdown, on every plan, including free.
The pricing has no cliff. $9/yr → $39/yr → $19 → $49 → $149. No step above about 3× between the team plans.
Built by a founder who did it the hard way first. A repo, a static host, theming, a deploy pipeline, hand-built for a previous product's docs. Documarium is that substrate, already done.
Nobody's logo is on this page yet — we're not going to rent one.

§ Questions
Why pay when a git repo and Cloudflare Pages are free?
Because a repo can't do the thing you're buying. Your PM can't push to it, and giving her access to the repo that holds your deploy config isn't the fix. Documarium's whole job is letting people without repo access change published pages, safely and undoably.
What happens to our content if we leave?
Every document exports as clean markdown, on every plan, including free, with no export fee and no support ticket to request it. You'll still need to host it yourself — we're not going to pretend leaving is free.
Does my team need to pay for Claude?
They need a Claude account, and they connect Documarium on their own. That's why seats cost nothing: you're not buying anyone's AI, they already have it.
Is Documarium made by Anthropic?
No. Documarium is an independent product that connects to Claude the way any other connector does. Anthropic doesn't make it, endorse it or support it; Claude is Anthropic's trademark. If Anthropic changes how connectors work, your content is still yours — it exports as clean markdown on every plan.
Is there a usage limit on the AI?
Documarium adds none and bills for none — there's no credit system and the AI is never metered, on any plan. Your only limits are the ones in your own Claude plan, which you already know.
What doesn't Documarium do?
It doesn't write your docs for you. There's no separate app to write in — Claude is where you write. No SSO. Nothing for teams that don't use Claude. And your export gives you every document, not a running website.
Start free. Judge it on your own docs.
Writing is free and never expires; publishing starts at $9 a year.
